This week we find our favorite heroes incapacitated by page one with Red Hood the last man standing. And if you could not already tell by the cover this is a Red Hood-centered issue.
It’s too bad this didn’t come out in time for Father’s day because daddy-issues abound in this story. And if you’re a fan of Red-Hood or Robin #2 you should be warned our favorite batboy is getting tortured in this issue.
Considering how light-hearted last week was, I was surprised how dark the suggested themes here were, but nevertheless it was a very engaging story. We get all the backstory and depth that was missing in Titans Together #1.
Jason’s tragic past is, in fact, the perfect reason to start fleshing out the backstory of the Titans. It gives weight to his present torture and makes his apparent growth significant.

It’s great to see Jason has made some sort of peace with Batman. And he has an awareness of the dangers of holding tightly on to hate.
Not to give too much away but the cover is a tad misleading, but just know the most loving thing a person can do is share knowledge. And the gift he gives Ravager is more powerful than a kiss.

The creative team really did the Titans justice here. The action and storyline would be perfect for a continuation or sequel. But we might be getting one-off adventures until we cover each Titan’s backstory.
I’m looking forward to it. I give this book a 5 out of 5.
