Is it seriously October already?!?

Yesterday, was a doozy. The first of the month AND a Monday.

Don’t worry you weren’t the only one with whiplash yesterday. As you know 2018 is winding down to a close. Now is the perfect time to start thinking about the future.

I am a firm believer in writing out your goals. (It gives me an excuse to buy pretty notebooks.)  Did you know if you write down your goals you are more likely to accomplish them? Yes, there is power in the pen.

So write down your goals! Write down something you’ve been planning to do, write down what you want to do, and write down something that scares you to do.

Writing down your goals shouldn’t be stressful, but it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Let’s start small.

Get out your handy-dandy notebook and make space for a list of 15-20. This is for the ENTIRE year of 2019.

If you’re still stuck here’s a great list to prompt you and/or to include to your list:

  1. Challenge one negative belief
  2. A new hobby to start
  3. One healthy food to start eating
  4. One positive habit you’re going to grow
  5. One person to invest more time into
  6. How will you make more sleep a priority
  7. What healthy activity to pick up for de-stressing
  8. Saving $25 per month and putting it in a savings account
  9. Reading one book more than 250 pages
  10. What person, place, or thing you should work on letting go

Now that you have a list, let’s take it one step further. Get out a calendar and start giving yourself due dates. Yes, I know, I know, you finally got out of school and you thought due dates would be a thing in the past.

Think of the goal due dates like a bill. You have to pay. Invest in yourself, you are absolutely worth it.

It’s October, you have plenty of time to get your list together. I believe in you, beloved. You are worthy and you are loved.

  1. This is super helpful. The idea of “due dates” or check in points may actually keep me on track for once.

    • I feel that’s so crucial. Writing a list is easy, but where is the accountability? Due dates will keep you moving and focused.
